Lead Teacher at Alianza Preschool

Overview:
Alianza Preschool seeks a dynamic and passionate Lead Teacher to enhance our Spanish immersion program. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to cultivating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that emphasizes emotional education and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record Keeping: Maintain all necessary records, including attendance logs, time sheets, and documentation of any incidents.
• Curriculum Implementation: Fulfill curriculum objectives through developmentally appropriate practices by planning long- and short-term activities aligned with our program philosophy.
• Lesson Adaptation: Implement monthly lesson plans and adapt them to the evolving needs of the children and classroom dynamics.
• Individual Support: Provide comprehensive emotional, social, physical, and cognitive support to each child to promote holistic learning experiences.
• Team Collaboration: Engage classroom assistants in curriculum planning while ensuring they receive proper training and supervision.
• Assessment Reporting: Complete trimester assessment reports to track each child's progress for communication purposes effectively.
• Parent Engagement: Organize Parent-Teacher Conferences as per the established schedule; utilize the Procare App for daily updates to parents, which should include at least two reports accompanied by pictures.
• Staff Participation: Actively engage in staff meetings, share ideas collaboratively, and participate in school events as a team.
• Classroom Management: Prepare educational materials efficiently and adhere to classroom schedules diligently while maintaining an organized yet inviting learning space for students.
• Training Requirements: Complete 24 hours of mandatory training within your first 90 days of employment.
• Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting to 50 lbs multiple times throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
• Experience teaching or working with young children is preferred; experience within an immersion or Reggio Emilia-inspired setting is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills are essential for fostering positive relationships among children, parents, and colleagues.
• A deep passion for education and commitment to promoting emotional growth in children's lives is crucial.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a cohesive team.
