Summary
Little Sprouts Discovery Center is looking to hire a full-time Lead Toddler Teacher. Must be able to work anytime between 5:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday. Experience in a daycare center is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Duties-
Plan, schedule and implement the daily program. Plan appropriate developmental experiences based on age of children.
- Provide care and protection of assigned children.

Maintain a physical environment conductive to children's growth and development.

Respect the dignity and basic rights of each child.

Help children develop appropriate habits in such activities as eating, dressing, napping and personal hygiene.
- Hold regular Parent Teacher Conferences and seek to involve parents the child development program by participating in meetings and demonstrating an interest in the child.
- Supervise and encourage the development of assistant teachers, aides, volunteers and other childcare personnel in the classroom.

Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, conferences and workshop and other career development and professional activities.
- Assure that equipment and materials are accessible, appropriate and in good condition.
- Perform classroom related and other maintenance duties as requested.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Provide a monthly newsletter.
Requirements-
Be at least 18 years old.

Have completed high school or it's equivalency

Have an Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Development OR have completed or be willing to complete the Introduction to the Child Care Profession and Skills & Strategies for the Child Care Teacher

Be CPR and First Aid certified or is willing to obtain within 6 months of assuming the position
Each year after assuming the position, the teacher shall complete 15 hours of continuing education.
