Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment! Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to toddler age groups, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Lead classroom management efforts to maintain a positive, organized learning environment that promotes respectful behavior and active engagement.
- Work alongside co-teaching staff on lesson planning, classroom strategies, behavior management, and early intervention techniques.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on children's progress, developmental milestones, and classroom activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, health regulations, and childcare policies to promote child welfare at all times.
- Coordinate assessments using ECE testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers and preschoolers.
- CDA, Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred! Will consider field hours & ECE credits.
- Proven experience in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Strong classroom management skills to create an organized, nurturing environment conducive to learning.
- Ability to lead effectively while fostering collaboration among staff members.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children experiencing various developmental stages.
- Experience working with children in daycare settings or private schools; knowledge of special education and early intervention strategies is highly desirable.
