Legal Assistant Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in law or paralegal certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in drafting legal and business documents.
- Expert in court disputes in Dubai, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain.
- Strong knowledge in Dubai Court & RDC System.
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret legal documents.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other legal research sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic. Strong command grammar, and legal vocabulary to create and send professional court documents, to maintaining schedules, setting up appointments, and connecting with clients and witnesses, all of which requires impeccable communication
- Organizational skills. From organizing documents within the office to coordinating multiple schedules,
- Native Arabic speaker.
- Valid UAE driving license
Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on cases and gather pertinent legal information.
- Interpret laws, rulings and regulations in legal documents.
- Compile, proofread and edit drafts of contracts, leases, licenses, policies and other legal documents.
- Monitor, study and develop written summaries of proposed and enacted legislation, regulations, court decisions, industry guidelines, trade journals and other relevant publications.
- Assist with case preparation including opening and closing arguments, and aiding in court motions or pleadings.
- Daily record keeping with electronic and physical filing of caseloads.
- Analyze and summarize documents.
- Assist with the administration and management of workflow.
- General administrative duties ie. answering correspondence and taking telephone calls and send email
- Have a strong understanding of legal terminology.
- Attend court meetings and take notes
- Transcribe, proofread, and file legal documents before deadlines.
- Manage schedules.
- Keep and organize court files etc.
- Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars
- Maintain contact lists
- Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence
- Answer and direct phone calls
