Your Contribution to Our Growth

We are seeking a Legal & Compliance Officer to join our growing Dubai team and support Aquanow’s continued expansion across global digital asset markets. This is a brand-new, full-time role and a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on core legal initiatives that directly support the business.

In this role, you will act as a key legal partner to the business, supporting contract drafting, review, and negotiation across a wide range of commercial, client, and partner agreements. You will work closely with our Legal and Compliance leadership, including our Dubai-based team and broader legal partners to ensure Aquanow’s legal foundations scale alongside our product offerings and international footprint.

This position is well suited for a junior to intermediate crypto-focused lawyer who enjoys hands-on legal work, thrives behind the scenes, and wants exposure to complex, fast-moving commercial and regulatory matters in the digital asset space. You will play a meaningful role in strengthening Aquanow’s legal processes while enabling teams to move quickly and responsibly in a highly regulated environment.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position working Hybrid out of our Dubai office.

What You’ll Do

• Lead legal review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial agreements, including MSAs, NDAs, SLAs, partnership agreements, and client onboarding documentation.
• Support legal due diligence (DD) for new clients, partners, vendors, and strategic initiatives, working closely with Compliance, Business Development, and Operations teams.
• Provide legal guidance on Aquanow’s crypto liquidity, trading, and infrastructure products, ensuring contracts and activities align with applicable laws and regulatory expectations.
• Partner with Compliance to interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements across the UAE and other key jurisdictions, particularly as they relate to digital assets, financial services, and cross-border operations.
• Review and advise on legal risk across business initiatives, including new product launches, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.
• Coordinate with external counsel as needed on jurisdiction-specific legal, regulatory, and licensing matters.
• Support internal stakeholders by translating complex legal concepts into practical, business-oriented advice in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with maintaining and improving internal legal processes, templates, and documentation standards as the company scales.

We’d Love to See

• 3-6 years of experience in a legal role, law firm, in-house legal team, or a combination thereof, ideally within financial services, fintech, crypto, or technology.
• Strong experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly MSAs and client-facing agreements.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to digital assets, payments, or financial services.
• Knowledge of the UAE legal and regulatory environment; experience across MENA or other international jurisdictions is a strong plus.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across regions and time zones, balancing legal rigor with commercial practicality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risk and recommendations.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-moving environments; thrives in a startup or scale-up setting.
• Genuine interest in crypto, fintech, and emerging financial technologies.
