Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Officer to join our Legal & Compliance Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal support across corporate, commercial, contractual, and operational matters, with a strong focus on telecom infrastructure projects, land acquisition, lease agreements, litigation management, regulatory compliance, and legal documentation.

The candidate should possess excellent legal drafting skills, experience in dealing with government authorities, and the ability to provide practical legal advice while ensuring the organization's compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate & Commercial Legal Matters

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and vet contracts, agreements, MoUs, NDAs, service agreements, purchase agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, company policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Land & Site Acquisition Legal Support

  • Review and verify land ownership documents and title records for telecom site acquisition projects.
  • Draft and review lease agreements, tenancy agreements, right-of-way (ROW) agreements, and land-related contracts.
  • Coordinate with Site Acquisition and Administration teams regarding legal documentation.
  • Resolve legal issues related to landowners, lease renewals, and property disputes.

Litigation Management

  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on civil, criminal, labor, and commercial litigation.
  • Prepare legal briefs, case summaries, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor court proceedings and maintain records of ongoing legal cases.
  • Follow up on legal notices, claims, recoveries, and dispute resolution matters.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities and government departments regarding legal matters.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the telecom infrastructure business.
  • Support the implementation of company compliance policies and procedures.

Government Liaison

  • Coordinate with government departments and regulatory authorities where legal support is required.
  • Assist in obtaining legal approvals, registrations, permits, and certifications.
  • Handle legal correspondence with public sector organizations and regulatory bodies.

Contract Administration

  • Maintain a centralized repository of contracts and legal documents.
  • Monitor contract validity, renewals, obligations, and compliance timelines.
  • Ensure proper execution, storage, and confidentiality of legal documents.

Employment & Labour Law

  • Provide legal guidance on employment contracts, disciplinary matters, labor disputes, and HR policies.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, EOBI, social security, and other employment regulations.
  • Support HR in handling legal aspects of employee-related matters.

Risk Management

  • Identify legal risks in ongoing and proposed business activities.
  • Advise management on legal implications of commercial decisions.
  • Assist in developing legal policies and internal controls to minimize organizational risk.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Draft legal notices, replies, opinions, and internal legal memorandums.
  • Prepare legal reports for management and maintain complete records of legal matters.
  • Ensure proper documentation of litigation, contracts, and legal correspondence.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of Pakistani corporate, commercial, contract, property, and labor laws.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and legal agreements.
  • Knowledge of land acquisition, lease agreements, and telecom infrastructure legal matters.
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures and dispute resolution.
  • Experience dealing with government departments and regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualification

  • LL.B. from an HEC-recognized university (LL.M. will be an added advantage).
  • Valid Bar Council License will be preferred.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Experience in the Telecom Infrastructure, Construction, Real Estate, Engineering, or Corporate Sector will be preferred.
  • Experience in handling land acquisition, lease agreements, and commercial contracts will be an added advantage.

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
