Job Purpose
The Legal Specialist will provide high-quality, business-focused legal support to a large, diversified organization and its subsidiaries. The role is responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of commercial and employment-related contracts, while advising on legal risks, compliance, and dispute resolution to support operational and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Contracting & Legal Advisory
- Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts including service agreements, supplier terms and conditions, statements of work, licenses, confidentiality agreements, employment and consultancy agreements.
- Provide clear, practical, and commercially sound legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Identify legal risks and potential exposures and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support contract disputes, claims, and settlements in coordination with internal departments and external counsel.
- Assist with legal matters including customer complaints, employment issues, and other legal disputes as required.
Contract Management & Governance
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of contract policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Monitor contractual obligations and assess the impact of changes on current and future agreements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance contracting processes, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Legal Research & Compliance
- Conduct legal research and provide advice on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
- Maintain high ethical standards and act with integrity in all professional dealings.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with internal departments in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Support management on legal initiatives and operational priorities.
Data Protection, Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and information security requirements.
- Adhere to all health, safety, security, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Contribute to organizational environmental and sustainability objectives.
Professional Development & Other Duties
- Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge and awareness of industry developments.
- Support training, knowledge transfer, and mentoring initiatives as required.
- Perform other legal and departmental duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent.
- Qualified lawyer in a recognized jurisdiction.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience in a law firm or in-house legal function.
- Strong experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Preferred:
- Qualification in a common law jurisdiction.
- Experience in a large, multinational or matrixed organization.
- Contract management experience.
- Exposure to multicultural working environments.

Pay: QAR18,000.00 - QAR19,000.00 per month
