Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and process import and export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
- Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and clearing agents for shipment clearance.
- Ensure compliance with local customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Track and monitor shipments and resolve any customs clearance delays or issues.
- Classify goods using HS codes and calculate duties and taxes.
- Maintain accurate records of all customs documentation and transactions.
- Communicate shipment status and documentation requirements with clients and internal teams.
- Ensure all shipments are cleared on time to avoid demurrage or penalties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years' experience in customs clearance, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations, Incoterms, and shipping procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments.
