Linux Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our team and manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based systems. The role involves ensuring system stability, performance, and security while supporting business-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Linux environments, networking services, virtualization, and system security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, or similar).
• Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high system availability.
• Perform regular updates, apply patches, and implement security hardening measures.
• Manage user accounts, file systems, and permissions to maintain secure environments.
• Configure and support networking services such as DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, and FTP.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor and analyze server logs, system health checks, and resource utilization.
• Support deployment and management of applications, containers, and virtualization (VMware, KVM, Proxmox).
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to streamline system operations.
• Secure systems with firewalls, access control, and vulnerability management practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or similar role.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with server administration, shell scripting, and automation tools
• Familiarity with networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, etc.)
• Experience with virtualization and containerization platforms (VMware, KVM, Proxmox, Docker)
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.)
• Understanding of firewalls, security policies, and vulnerability management
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to system management
