Keith Company engineers and manufactures state-of-the-art industrial furnaces, kilns and ovens that are sold to domestic and international customers. We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

Reporting to the Controller and Operations Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for logistics arrangements including managing all related paper flow rate quotes, BOL, POD.

This position is also directly responsible for maintaining a well-organized inventory warehouse area, yard area, and forklift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Integral to optimizing supply chain operations and ensuring efficient logistics management.
  • Streamline processes and enhance skills in negotiation with the best rate quotes UPS, FedEx, LTL/TL.
  • Communicate with Customers and Vendors via emails, phones for logistics. Able to talk with customers, vendors, brokers for cargo delivery to final destination including trucking and scheduling with warehouses or consignees.
  • Prepare documents, such as BOL, shipping orders, commercial invoices, packing slips, and certificate of origin for domestic and international.
  • Getting freight quotes, scheduling pick-ups, and handling claims for damaged goods.
  • Review and confirm broker quotations, ensuring competitive rates and accuracy in billing.
  • Works with Manufacturing to help pack & load large shipments including pulling, packing, and loading inbound and outbound shipments using company forklifts.
  • Organize with vendors for packaging furnaces components that will be ready to ship to customers.
  • Able to drive company 16-ft-stake truck to deliver and pickup materials when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge with Incoterms, FOB, Ship Via, Prepaid and Add concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills via confidence in emails and phones discussion.
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  • Able to work independently and as a team member.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, and inventory/warehouse.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Suite and apps.
  • Clean driving records for the last three years (our insurance requirements).
  • Manufacture job costing experiences is preferred and helpful.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, and smell.
  • Hearing within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare financial records.
  • Some lifting is expected. Exertion of up to at least 10-50 pounds
