Logistics Coordinator

Overview

The Fuel Dispatcher plays a critical role in the logistics and transportation sector, responsible for coordinating the efficient delivery of fuel to various locations. This position requires a keen understanding of transportation management and supply chain operations, ensuring that all dispatching activities are executed smoothly and effectively. The ideal candidate will be adept at utilizing various technologies and systems to optimize routes, manage schedules, and maintain communication with drivers and clients.

Duties

• Coordinate and schedule fuel deliveries to ensure timely service.
• Monitor GPS systems to oversee fleet movements and adjust routes as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via phone systems to provide instructions and updates.
• Monitors fuel inventory levels at both company operated and dealer operated sites.
• Schedules fuel delivery and maintains required inventory levels.
• Coordinates equipment availability and maximizes utilization.
• Defines employee schedules and coordinates adequate coverage based on business demand.
• Address any issues or delays in transportation promptly to maintain service quality.

Schedule:

• Rotating weekends are required for this position.
• Hours in office are 7am to 4pm

We supply Chevron, Texaco, Valero, Marathon, and unbranded fuels to convenience stores throughout Louisiana. We also offer a full line of lubricants, oils, and greases from Chevron and our own house brands.
