A global logistics company located in the area of Portland Airport area is looking for a new member. This position is newly create for a part of their import team. You will help their ground shipment (Truck and Rail) operation.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has been working in the Logistics field (Truck and Rail Logistics) in the past 1 -2 years. Also, you will be asked to assist their international import operation as well. You must be okay to do a few different areas of work.

This position will start as a full-time temp contractor (minimum of 6 months). During 6 months, we will review your work performance and attendance to determine if we can switch you to be a full-time direct hired employee.

Also, this position will require you to work in the office on weekdays.

Responsibilities for Logistics Coordinator (Truck and Rail operation) :

  • Coordinate transportation and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Communicate with warehouse team to ensure operation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and carriers to optimize freight costs and delivery schedules.
  • Support clients' need for their cargos (both internationally and domestically).
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all logistics transactions with data entry and creating necessary documents.
  • Other duties assigned by management team.

Qualifications for Logistics Coordinator (Truck and Rail operation) :

  • Bachelor in Supply Chain Management or International Business, other related fields of studies.
  • Previous experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, and ERP platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-culturally.
  • Proficiency in data entry related to logistics operations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
