Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete export and import documentation for sea shipments.
- Prepare and verify Bill of Lading (BL), Shipping Instructions, Packing List, Commercial Invoice, COO, Certificate of Origin and other related documents.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, CHA (Custom House Agents), and transporters for smooth cargo movement.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, INCOTERMS, and international trade requirements.
- Manage pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation including LC (Letter of Credit) requirements.
- Monitor and update shipment status, track containers, and maintain accurate records.
- Liaise with clients to ensure timely documentation and resolve queries related to shipments.
- Assist in filing SI (Shipping Instructions), VGM (Verified Gross Mass) and other regulatory submissions.
- Prepare MIS reports on shipment status, documentation, and freight costs.
- Support the operations team in handling documentation-related discrepancies and audits.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of export-import procedures and shipping documentation.
- Familiarity with EDI filing, customs clearance, and port formalities.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients, shipping lines, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics software/ERP.
- Attention to detail with ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
