Logistics Executive Overview

The Logistics Executive will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics operations to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective transportation, warehousing, and delivery of food products. This role requires close coordination with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to maintain smooth supply chain operations while meeting food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Supply Chain Operations

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers and distributors.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, and 3PL providers for domestic and international logistics.
  • Manage distribution of perishable and frozen goods, ensuring compliance with cold chain requirements.
  • Optimize delivery routes and warehouse operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Oversee stock movement, storage, and replenishment in warehouses.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies in coordination with the warehouse team.
  • Ensure storage conditions meet food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, ISO, municipality regulations).

Compliance & Documentation

  • Prepare and review shipping, customs, and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE (or relevant market) food regulations, municipality approvals, and international standards (FDA, FSMA, etc. where applicable).
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and delivery notes.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with suppliers, distributors, and internal departments (sales, production, finance) for smooth operations.
  • Negotiate rates and service levels with logistics partners and ensure strong vendor relationships.
  • Provide regular updates to management on logistics KPIs and performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify bottlenecks in supply chain processes and implement solutions.
  • Track and analyze logistics metrics to optimize cost, time, and service quality.
  • Support digitalization initiatives such as ERP/WMS/TMS system usage for better visibility and tracking.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of logistics experience (preferably in FMCG or food industry).
  • Knowledge of cold chain logistics and food handling standards.
  • Strong understanding of customs, import/export regulations, and shipping documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and logistics management software.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
