About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist with strong air and ocean freight experience to oversee customs documentation, clearance, and compliance for import and export operations across the UAE and GCC region.

This role will play a key part in ensuring timely shipment processing , regulatory adherence, and smooth coordination between stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end import/export operations , focusing primarily on air and ocean freight (FCL, LCL, break bulk, B2B, B2C).
• Prepare, verify, and submit accurate customs documentation including invoices, air waybills, packing lists, and HS codes in compliance with UAE and GCC regulations.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, free zone / airport officials (e.g.,DAFZA, JAFZA) freight forwarders, and shipping agents to ensure smooth clearance.
• Oversee duty and tax calculations , ensuring timely payments and accurate financial reconciliations.
• Work closely with the finance team to handle disputes, clearance fees, and collections.
• Track and monitor shipments from port to warehouse , ensuring on-time delivery.
• Manage cross-border GCC logistics , including truck allocation and scheduling.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade compliance , bonded zones, and exemptions.
• Provide clients and internal teams with updates on customs procedures, duty obligations, and shipment status.
• Identify opportunities to streamline customs processes and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade , or related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in air and ocean freight operations , customs clearance, and trade compliance within the UAE.
• Knowledge of road freight and express delivery operations is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of UAE customs regulations, GCC trade laws , and HS code classification.
• Proficiency in customs systems such as Dubai Trade, Mirsal 2, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills .
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple shipments simultaneously .
