Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Transportation Management: Oversee transportation operations, including route planning, shipment scheduling, tracking, and resolving any delays or issues.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels and ensure stock movements are aligned with demand, maintaining optimal inventory at all times.
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor logistics costs, analyze performance metrics, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure logistics operations comply with all relevant industry regulations, laws, and safety standards.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to align logistics operations with overall business goals.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and updates on logistics performance, key metrics, and project status to senior management.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with proven leadership experience.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles, including transportation, inventory, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems (ERP, transportation management systems).
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of logistics-related laws and regulations (preferred).
