Logistics Officer

This Position is responsible for ensuring accurate calculation, verification, and payment of freight for all shipments, ensuring the company pays the right freight, on the right basis, with proper evidence,. The role ensures compliance with approved freight policies, diversion policies, tracker KM reports, T Shipments/ Forward Shipments and cost controls, while maintaining audit-ready records for all freight-related transactions.


Key Responsibilities

Freight Verification & Governance

  • Verify freight for all shipments against approved slabs, PTA, OTM, and STI.
  • Ensure freight payments comply with company policies, approved formulas, and market-competitive rates.


Diversion & Exception Management

  • Calculate and manage diversion freight per company policy.
  • Validate diversions with approvals, tracker reports, and supporting documentation.


Tracker KM & Route Monitoring

  • Review tracker KM reports and ensure accurate application in freight/diversion calculations.
  • Monitor route compliance, report deviations, and ensure timely deliveries.


Dedicated Fleet & Cost Management

  • Apply prevailing variable costs for dedicated fleet shipments.
  • Update freight calculations according to fuel price changes and approved formulas.


Qualification & Experience

Masters degree in marketing / supply chain, engineering with 5 to 7 Years of experience in freights/ allocation/ transport arrangement or in supply chain related field.
