Logistics Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE: Manage all movements to and from site and keeping associated records. Enforce the full use of the organizations delivery management system. Control and manage the team work at site. The Logistics Supervisor will be a key leader in developing and implementing strategies and plans to improve department efficiency and customer service.


RESPONSIBILITIES.



  • Specify the priorities tasks, to start the work.
  • Ensure to follow the work plan.
  • Ensure the work steps are done following the Health & Safety & Environment regulations and company standards.
  • Make initial plan for work time line, coordinately with site’s management and Logistic management.
  • Coordinate with all sites sections in matter not to effect the work processing at site.
  • Submit daily report about work processing to the logistic admin.
  • Coordinate with the site management and logistic department.
  • Inform the logistic administrative about any changes or problems may happen due to site needs and conditions, and make immediate action in coordination with site’s management & his management.
  • Evaluate team performance.
  • Ensure the attendance of his team daily at site.
  • Inform the logistic admin about the needs to process the work if and there are any changes on the plan.
  • Recommends improvements to Department / Section policies and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Section activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality and cost-effective service to internal customers.


  • Prepares and recommends the department / section budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed.
  • Monitors the financial performance of the section against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
  • Ensures all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and development plans, with particular emphasis on the development of talented Saudi national staff.
  • Ensures and facilitates the employment, training, and development of Saudi nationals within the organization.
  • Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Leads and directs the management of change through continuous improvement of department systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
  • Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.


ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and/or QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED



  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field



MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE IN SIMILAR JOB ROLE


3 years
