Maintenance Fitter

A fitter assembles, installs, and maintains mechanical systems and equipment by reading blueprints and using hand and power tools.

They cut, shape, and fit components, perform welding, and conduct inspections to ensure machinery is working correctly and safely.

Key responsibilities include fabricating and disassembling parts, repairing existing machinery, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
