Maintenance Foreman

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Foreman to lead a team of technicians and ensure all building systems and maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership experience, and a proactive approach to building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Maintenance Expertise

Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, elevators, and fire safety systems.

Develop preventive maintenance schedules and oversee routine inspections.

Quickly diagnose issues and recommend cost-effective solutions.

2. Supervisory & Team Leadership

Supervise technicians, contractors, and cleaning staff.

Delegate tasks effectively, monitor work quality, and ensure timely completion.

Train junior team members on maintenance procedures and safety standards.

3. Analytical & Reporting Abilities

Document maintenance issues, downtime, and repairs.

Translate technical issues into measurable KPIs (e.g., MTTR, MTBF, cost/sq. meter).

Track trends and recommend performance improvements.

4. Communication & Reporting

Prepare clear, concise monthly reports for management.

Translate technical problems into plain language for non-technical stakeholders.

Present findings and recommendations in meetings.

5. Software & Tools

Proficient in CMMS platforms like Maximo, SAP PM, or similar systems.

Use MS Excel for tracking costs, downtime, and reporting metrics.

Familiar with basic project management and scheduling tools.

6. Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and proactive improvement mindset.

High attention to detail to catch issues before they escalate.

Excellent time management to reduce operational disruption.

Strong understanding of OSHA or local safety standards and compliance.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance management.

Prior supervisory experience required.

Strong knowledge of building systems and safety codes.

CMMS and Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.
