Job Description – Head of Maintenance (Pharmaceuticals Only)

Position: Head – Maintenance (Pharma Background)
Location: Nalagarh HP
Department: Engineering & Maintenance
Reporting To: Plant Head / Director – Operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth operation, preventive and corrective maintenance of all pharma manufacturing & utility equipment (AHU, HVAC, Water System, Compressors, Boilers, etc.).
• Implement preventive & predictive maintenance systems to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
• Compliance with cGMP, USFDA, MHRA, WHO-GMP and other pharma regulatory norms in all maintenance activities.
• Lead the Maintenance team and ensure training, development & motivation of team members.
• Prepare and monitor maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor management.
• Ensure proper documentation, calibration, and validation of pharma equipment as per SOPs.
• Drive energy conservation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Projects team for smooth plant operations.
• Handle external audits (Regulatory & Customer) related to maintenance and utilities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical plant equipment & utilities.
• Expertise in HVAC, water systems, clean room equipment, and automation systems.
• In-depth knowledge of GMP, cGMP, USFDA, MHRA, WHO, ICH guidelines.
• Leadership, team handling, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong analytical & troubleshooting ability.

Qualification & Experience:

• B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Maintenance.
• Must have experience in handling regulatory audits.
• Preference to candidates having exposure in Injectables / OSD / Formulations / Bulk Drugs plants.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,753.44 - ₹40,773.68 per month
