Maintenance Technician

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances, air conditioning units, and refrigeration systems using schematics and technical manuals.
• Conduct equipment repairs, including mechanical adjustments, electrical troubleshooting, and component replacements.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
• Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing maintenance support and ensuring safety compliance.
• Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during complex repairs or installations to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to support operational efficiency.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), and equipment maintenance.
• Proven service technician experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
• Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for accurate diagnostics.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, air conditioning components, and related electrical systems.
• Experience in construction or facility maintenance projects is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with contractors during maintenance tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
