Maintenance Worker

Job Title: Maintenance Representative

Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: 8-hour shifts | Day shift | Monday–Friday | Weekends & Holidays as needed | On-call rotation
Location: On-site

About the Role

As a Maintenance Representative, you play a critical role in ensuring our hotel operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. From completing repairs to supporting preventative maintenance, your work ensures our property remains welcoming, functional, and guest-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms and public areas
  • Troubleshoot and repair PTAC units (Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners), HVAC systems, and appliances
  • Address basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical issues
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks in line with the property’s maintenance schedule
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and functionality of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots and pool facilities
  • Monitor inventory and organize maintenance supplies and tools
  • Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests with professionalism and care
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and report unsafe conditions or equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively
  • Assist with additional duties as needed to support operations

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of maintenance, facilities, or repair experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred
  • Working knowledge of:
  • PTAC units and general HVAC systems
  • Basic electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • Plumbing repairs and fixture maintenance
  • Preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Preferred Certifications & Technical Skills

  • EPA Section 608 Certification (for handling refrigerants / HVAC work)
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license (if property has a pool)
  • HVAC Certification or Trade School Training
  • Experience servicing PTAC and split AC units
  • OSHA 10 Certification (workplace safety)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems (120V/240V)
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training
  • Fire & Life Safety systems familiarity (alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting)
  • General building maintenance certification or equivalent experience
