Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager Collections & Recoveries to lead our debt recovery team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in microfinance or banking, with a strong understanding of credit risk and recovery strategies. This role requires excellent leadership skills, strategic planning, and a proactive approach to minimize delinquency and maximize recoveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the collections to ensure timely and effective recovery of overdue loans.
• Develop and implement debt recovery strategies, policies, and processes in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly collection performance; analyze trends and make data-driven decisions to improve results.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance skills and performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal frameworks, and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare and present regular reports on recovery performance, risk areas, and action plans to senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in debt collection/recovery, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Prior experience in the microfinance or banking sector is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of collection techniques, legal recovery processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally.
