Manager - Islamic Banking, Retail Business
- To manage Islamic Banking segment to achieve the financial & service levels targets.
- To liaise & provide guidance for front line team of Relationship Managers & liaise with Regional & Branch Managers accordingly to market & serve Islamic Banking segment.
- To provide market / customer review and develop customized propositions & product bundles for the staff of corporate clients & government entities through distribution channels.
- To drive overall customer origination of New to Bank & New to Product customers. Grow segment accounts base and increase forward/backward cross sell suite of applicable products.
- To liaise with relevant departments to ensure best practice overall customer experience & development of product suite.
- Maintain customer segment MIS to establish suitability for cross sell of new & existing product suite.
- Work closely with WBG, credit & remedial to ensure that financial objectives of business segment are met.
- Generate & manage referral mechanism to on board new customers via distribution network.
Duties and responsibilities
- To ensure that financial objectives of business segment are met.
- Deliver budgeted origination of New to Bank (NTB) & New to Product (NTP) customers using Relationship Managers & branch distribution channels.
- Develop customised propositions to meet banking needs of the employees of the individual corporate & government entities for desired segments, primarily Priority & Preferred segments. Ensure focused communication of NBF's Islamic Banking products & propositions to existing & potential customers.
- Provide support to retail credit team in ensuring portfolio quality of retail assets by providing market intelligence & early alert signals on attrition.
- Set up and implement robust systems & processes governing KYC, AML and customer due diligence policies & procedures.
- Design customized Islamic propositions & bundles as per customers' needs.
- Monitor & review products, service levels & processes & provide innovative solutions to address opportunities & challenges faced.
- Deliver sales objectives of Islamic products to segment.
- Ensure that staff members are trained regularly as per the individual training needs of the team members.
- Work closely with remedial team to ensure that past dues & delinquency ratios are under control and in line with the industry benchmark.
- Ensure that the team works effectively in meeting customer TATs, internal SLA and minimizing rejection rate of customer applications.
- Conceptualize & implement marketing activity in conjunction with Strategic Marketing teams to boost new business bookings & develop promotions & campaigns to create Islamic proposition awareness. Analyse results by conducting post campaign reviews to identify learnings which can be embedded in the subsequent campaigns.
- Review processes & SOP's - amend accordingly to enhance efficiency & be market relevant.
- Provide customer base to enable Customer Satisfaction Survey to be conducted & compile action plan based on results to improve subsequent survey.
- Act as face of Retail Islamic business relating to PR activities.

Qualifications
- A minimum of master's degree in business management/ Chartered Accountancy

- Sound analytical skills & commercial awareness
- 10+ years of retail banking experience with 3+ years in Islamic Banking segment
- Preferably in the employee banking or similar aspects of personal banking. UAE experience highly desirable
- Relevant product, sales & distribution, people management and industry knowledge
