About the Role:

Oversee and manage all aspects of labor and employment law. This role requires a proactive and firm approach to advising on legal matters and ensuring regulatory compliance . This role be tasked with not only providing expert legal counsel but also with implementing and enforcing policies and procedures that ensure all organizational contracts and advisory functions meet or exceed legal standards. This includes, but is not limited to, the meticulous review of all agreements and the development of internal controls to maintain legal and ethical integrity.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Act as the lead legal adviso r for Labour and employment for cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, marketing, and HR. Your guidance will be essential in aligning business objectives with legal integrity . Stay ahead of legal changes/laws, to proactively mitigate ris k and guide internal teams toward full compliance.
  • Enforce complianc e by drafting and negotiating labor and employment contracts that adhere to all legal and regulatory mandates. You will lead negotiation s with internal/external parties to secure favorable terms for the companys.
  • Manage and resolv e employment disputes and investigations and law related matters/case
  • Identify and eliminate legal risk s related to labour and employment across business operations and contracts. Develop and implement robust risk management strategies to shield the company from liabilit y.
  • Implement a centralized contract management syste m and enforce strict processe s for the entire contract lifecycle. You will be accountable for tracking obligations and critical dates to ensure zero lapses.
  • Conduct and lead complex legal researc h to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Drive legal automatio n initiatives to significantly streamline and automate a high volume of contracts.
  • Draft and review policies and control s related to labour and employment.
  • You must be a strategic business partne r who enables growth while rigorously managing legal exposure. Your role is to command the labour and employment egal functio n, establishing strong internal and external relationships to ensure uncompromising legal and ethical standards are met.
  • You will also be responsible for developing and delivering targeted legal trainin g to various departments. This position demands a tough, results-oriented legal professiona l with a proven track record in labour and employment and risk mitigation.


To Succeed in this role you should be following:


  • First and foremost, you must ha ve deep, specialized knowledge of labor and employment la w. LLB with 6-9 years of experience will be preferred.
  • Your ability to interpret and apply these complex laws is non-negotiable. It's the core competency that allows you to provide sound legal advice and protect the company from legal challenges.
  • Strategic Acumen To success in this role requires more than just knowing the law. You must be a proactive risk mana ger. This means you can identify potential legal vulnerabilities in business operations before they become problems. You'll need to develop and implement strategies that not only ensure compliance but also align with the company's business goals. This strategic mindset allows you to be a valuable business partner, not just a legal gatekeeper.
  • Interpersonal Skills- This is not a solitary role. You must be an effective communicator and negotia tor. You'll need to work closely with HR, operations, and senior leadership, translating complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance. Your ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders is crucial for driving legal compliance and resolving disputes effectively. You should be able to navigate difficult conversations with confidence.
