Manager Landside Operations

Doha, Qatar

About the role:

To lead the landside operations and ensure the smooth-running operations as well as providing business solutions for all public transport related aspects of the business included - but not limited to - all airport car parks -- long term, short term and staff, Taxi services, water taxi, public bus/metro transportation, car rental. Provides a strategic input to the management and uses the best industry practice to determine the strategy to be developed for the transportation and logistics at the airport and supports their development and implementation.



Strategic Responsibilitie

    Ensures that transportation and parking facilities are in line with MATAR strategic objectives and plans to introduce means of transportation at the airport, by conducting market search/customer service survey to ensure customer satisfaction and introduce any required improvement
  • s.Working closely with MOTC (Ministry of Transport & Communication) to understand the transportati
  • onpolicy and the areas of implementation/ development in the airport premises, providing feedback on the projects feasibility being subject matter expert and act on behalf of HIA being the owner of the property, in order to meet the State of Qatar visio
  • n.Provides strategic input to the SM Terminal Operation and uses best industry practice to determine the strategy to be developed for the transportation at the airport and supports their development and implementatio
  • n.Lead the coordination with Facilities & Operations management to develop in order to deliver end-to-end car park strateg
  • y.Ensures that the airport operator facilitates the transportation & parking strategy, implementation and management, by having the various means of transportation available for the passengers and staff, to/ from airport, by planning the activity well in advance, working with Ops Planning and Strategy team to get inputs, in order to ensure that all needs are cater during the regular and major events such as (FIFA 2022, Asian games, etc.
  • ).To continuously make provision and plans to enhance the Landside Business Module, by working with Expansion team to provide alternative options and traffic management plans within Landside in order to have smooth access to PTC (Passenger Terminal Complex), Bus Pavilion and midfield are

d.Operational Responsibiliti

  • esDevelops and evaluate SOPs in a timely manner for carparks and all transportation related procedures for the airpor
  • t.Ensure sufficient availability and quality of transportation service providers such as taxis, charter buses, etc., this is done by coordinating with Mowasalat / Karwa - having regular meeting, sharing MATAR Vision and 05 star standard guidelines and ensuring that the Buses, Taxis and Limos are as per the standard. Also coordinating with MATAR service provider and other events Fleet Cordinatores for shuttle buse
  • s.Ensure offering of comprehensive and broad transportation branding service, incl. bus, taxi, limousines, etc. by working together with Marketing & Communicating to update MATAR website and social media on the facilities, rates and all other authorized service
  • s.Ensure that preventive maintenance programme is implemented & effectively managed, by coordinating and planning with Facilities Management on the schedule activities without having a logistic impact and to raise a call for any emergency and repairing maintenanc
  • e.Monitoring operational performance (as per MATAR SOPs) of all rent a car company by meeting with their representative, highlighting passengers' feedback in order to ensure a Five Star continuous service level is consistently provide
  • d.Manages all traffic within the airport premises in the relevant areas, this is done by coordinating with the MATAR stakeholders and Traffic department, reviewing requests for planned activities, and providing a traffic solution in order not impact the logistic flo
