Manager – Meltshop (Melting)

Experience: Minimum 8 years in steel melting / furnace operations

Job Summary:
The Manager Meltshop will lead and manage furnace operations, ensuring optimal melting processes to achieve production goals while maintaining product quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee melting operations, including furnace management, ladle refining, and casting.
• Monitor raw material consumption and optimize yield.
• Ensure adherence to metallurgical standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with rolling plant and other departments for production flow.
• Lead preventive maintenance and troubleshoot melting equipment.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and energy efficiency measures.
• Train and supervise technical staff for continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with HSE regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in steel melting operations, preferably with exposure to EAF/IF and continuous casting.
• Strong technical knowledge of melting processes, quality assurance, and furnace management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs130,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Karachi Metroville: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
