We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manager – NOC to lead our Network Operations Center operations in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in network infrastructure, cloud environments, and incident management, along with proven leadership experience in managing 24/7 operational teams. This role is critical to ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our systems and services.
- Lead and manage the NOC team to ensure 24/7 monitoring and support of network and system infrastructure.
- Lead and manage daily operations of the NOC team (24/7 environment if applicable)
- Supervise, mentor, and coach NOC engineers and analysts
- Develop and manage shift schedules and on-call rotations
- Ensure SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics are consistently met
- Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions
- Oversee real-time monitoring of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless)
- Act as the primary escalation point for major incidents and outages
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents within SLA targets
- Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and application teams during outages
- Develop and improve NOC processes, SOPs, and runbooks
- Implement automation and monitoring enhancements
- Drive proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices
- Provide regular operational reports to management
- Present incident trends, risk assessments, and improvement plans
- Communicate major incidents and resolutions to stakeholders
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed
- Manage and optimize monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog)
- Ensure accurate alert configurations and minimize false positives
- Maintain documentation of network topology and monitoring configurations
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 7–8 years of experience in Network Operations, IT Infrastructure, or Systems Engineering.
- At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team lead role within a NOC environment.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
