Job Purpose:
The Data Center manager role is both a strategic and hands-on operational role. The prime responsibility is to manage the daily operations of the Data Center. Plans and controls process scheduling and related functions, tasks and staff. Directs and ensures documentation of operations and applications activities and the performance of application systems. In addition, participate in expansion planning and monitor environmental conditions of Data Centre.
Key Accountabilities

Manage data Centre staff supporting data centres, Production and Disaster Recovery Data Centre Operations

Manage staff scheduling and operational responsibilities providing around the clock support at locations (PROD & DRC)

Oversee daily production responsibilities across multiple shifts, to provide, monitoring of all systems and networking components, with emphasis to production activities and scheduled batch and checklist tasks with the intent of interfacing with multiple support staffs to address problem situations as they occur.

Lead, define, and direct the troubleshooting and communication processes to meet Service level agreements (SLA) and Operational Level Agreements (OLA)

Monitoring enterprise data backup process and reporting

Manage centralized application and system monitoring and support. He must follow proper problem escalation process internally and externally.

Monitoring all data transmission (downloads, uploads, file transfers)

Oversee daily operation of data centre facilities to include, Management of data centre inventories related to systems, space and requests for moves, adds and changes of hardware.

Assess and manage facility requirements for power, space, and systems connectivity. Reporting power, space, and cooling usage on a regular basis

Participate in data centre related project management activities to support business.

Responsible for providing project management feedback with regards to data centre requirements

Disaster Recovery Planning, Implementation, Testing and readiness for data centre systems.

Work to transition processing occurring in other IT areas back into the Data Centre. These activities include daily weekly and monthly workflow processes.

Supervision of shift operations supervisor and the shift operators and responsible for the management, coaching, and development of Data Centre personnel’s
Cyber Security

Adhere to and promote the Bank's information security policy, standards, and procedures in accordance with Information security and regulatory requirements.

Clearly communicate information security controls within the process and the consequences of non-compliance.

Staying informed on applicable information security risks and threats and communicating to the staff.

Ensure that information security control considerations are integrated into your respective areas of responsibility.

Ensure that information security incidents are timely reported to the Information Security Monitoring, adhering to the Bank's incident response procedure.

Inform staff on key security incidents, events, or weaknesses and actions required to remain protected.

Participate in information security risk assessments, risk management activities, and incident response efforts as appropriate.

Exercise caution when sharing sensitive information electronically or verbally. Secure bank assets and data when in use and when not in use.

Engage in information security training and awareness initiatives and ensure that staff is actively involved as well.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited university.
