Job Summary

Zarea.pk is seeking an experienced Manager – Rice Trading to oversee the procurement, trading, and management of rice commodities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing trading strategies, managing supplier and buyer relationships, and ensuring efficient operations across the rice supply chain. This role is crucial for expanding market presence, optimizing trade opportunities, and ensuring quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement, sales, and trading of rice commodities in domestic and international markets.
• Develop and execute trading strategies to maximize profitability and market share.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee quality inspection and ensure compliance with export/import regulations.
• Monitor global rice market trends, pricing, and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
• Coordinate logistics, shipping, and storage to ensure timely delivery of rice consignments.
• Prepare financial and performance reports including trading volumes, margins, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, trade, and safety regulations.

Prerequisites

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or any relevant field.

Experience:

7–8 years of experience in rice trading, procurement, or commodity trading. Experience in international trade and supply chain operations is highly preferred.

Competencies

• Deep knowledge of rice markets, trading practices, and international trade regulations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Expertise in trading platforms, ERP systems, and financial analysis.
