Manager-Sourcing & Vendor Development

Job Description

Procurement- Managing end to end sourcing of components for all chillers (ongoing and new developments), DFM of components with Supplier, conduct trials, lead CFT & conclude result.
Sourcing- Ensure timely launch of new projects and ensuring all compliance items are met with a cost and quality sensitive approach. Support for Vendor development- domestic and overseas.
Quality Management- Must have a strong quality acumen and enforce quality standards. Will be working closely with Supplier Quality and Plant quality.
Vendor Selection & upgradation- To ensure new suppliers with excellent capabilities are onboarded and work closely with Quality teams to uplift existing vendors capability.
Process Improvements- To monitor and improve the utilization of set controls and have excellent stakeholder management to ensure internal processes are followed while balancing the project time-lines.
Project Control- To monitor the project launches and executes them within target cost and timeline.
Data Management- Ensure data accuracy for each phase and gate for the project including but not limited to BoM updates, supplier approval status and cost of each material.
Price Management- Market trends, Price analysis based on RM price trend, Cost Reduction through – Re-negotiation, Value Engineering, Alternate sourcing, should/AB costing, LCA etc. Should be able to monitor and link global commodities like steel, copper, controller, fan motor, compressor etc. with product margins Exposure to market trends/ global sourcing is needed.
Compliance to the statutory audit requirements - Adherence to SOP and compliance requirement per customer and market needs.
