Job Purpose

The Manlift Operator is responsible for operating boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other types of MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) to safely support work at height activities, ensuring compliance with UAE safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manlifts (boom lift, scissor lift, articulated lift) safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily pre-use inspections of the equipment.
• Position the manlift to allow safe access for workers to elevated work areas.
• Ensure the platform is stable and secure before lifting personnel.
• Follow instructions from supervisors, riggers, and signalers during operations.
• Report mechanical issues, defects, or safety hazards immediately.
• Maintain equipment in clean and operational condition.
• Support site safety by following all HSE guidelines, including wearing PPE.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and site-specific safety procedures.
• Assist with ground duties when machine operation is not required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Manlift/MEWP Operator Certificate (UAE-approved: TUV, IPAF, or equivalent).
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating MEWPs (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
• Knowledge of safe working practices for working at heights.
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions and site guidelines.
• Basic understanding of equipment controls and safety systems.
• Good communication skills (English required; Arabic a plus).
