MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

About the Role:

Hudson Lock, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of our products. You will work closely with the production team to develop and implement manufacturing processes that support high standards of quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. Your primary goal will be to optimize manufacturing operations while supporting new product integration and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field prefer

or

Equivalent Experience:

A minimum of 5–8 years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role in lieu of a degree.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CNC programming and machining.
  • Experience with new product introduction.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and improve manufacturing methods and processes to meet product quality and production goals.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop work instructions, standard operating procedures, and plan layouts for manufacturing processes.
  • Support new product introduction, ensuring smooth integration into manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting production throughout the facility.
  • Recommend and implement manufacturing improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Design components, tooling, and special equipment as needed.
  • Process change orders to routings initiated on the manufacturing floor.
  • Interface with mechanical engineers and other departments to support cross-functional projects.
  • Provide technical support to maintain production tooling, ensuring quality, availability, and reliability.

Skills:

  • Manufacturing engineering, machining, CNC programming, and assembly processes.
  • Process optimization and continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen).
  • Work instruction development and plan layout design.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to integrate new products into existing production lines.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings, CAD/CAM tools, and production documentation
  • Understanding of quality systems, safety standards, and industry regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred (EPICOR)
  • Experience with Solid Works 3D solid modeling
