Marketing Intern – Anniversary Celebration Support (Part-Time)

Location: Rice Village, Houston Texas
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Compensation: Paid internship
Duration: Starting Fall of till Summer 2026, with the possibility for an extension until the end of 2026.

About Us

Jackson & Ryan Architects is an award-winning architectural firm dedicated to creating spaces that inspire and endure. Next year, we are celebrating our 40th year anniversary, and we’re looking for a creative, motivated Marketing Intern to help us plan, promote, and execute a memorable campaign.

Position Overview

The Marketing Intern will play a key role in supporting marketing initiatives and event coordination for our anniversary celebration. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in marketing, communications, or design to gain hands-on experience in event planning, branding, and multimedia content creation within a professional architecture and design environment. The position will be in person, working with our Marketing Director and Principal.

Responsibilities

· Assist in planning and promoting anniversary celebration events.

· Create marketing materials such as invitations, brochures, social media graphics, video, help plan for interviews and presentations.

· Design and edit promotional content using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Express, Premiere Pro).

· Draft and schedule content for social media, email campaigns, and the company website.

· Help plan for day-of event logistics, including vendor coordination, photography, and guest engagement.

· Assist with internal and external communications related to the celebration.

· Organize project timelines, track progress, and help ensure deliverables meet deadlines.

Qualifications

· Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Express, Premiere Pro.

· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

· Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

· Creative eye for branding, design, and storytelling.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

· Photography and/or videography experience.

· Design, art, graphics and communications classes.

· Prior involvement in event planning or student organization marketing.

· Interest in architecture, design, or the built environment.
