Role Summary
Rosbien DRC is seeking a highly driven Marketing Manager (Expansion & Operations) to strengthen and grow its operations. This role will focus on opening and managing new stores, expanding sales channels, & building systems that support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Expansion & Growth
- Identify, set up, and manage new retail and wholesale outlets across Kinshasa.
- Develop and execute growth strategies for both informal (open markets, local shops) and formal (supermarkets, HORECA) markets.
- Drive brand visibility, customer acquisition, and competitive pricing strategies.
2. Sales & Distribution Management
- Oversee sales and ensure targets are achieved.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with distributors, wholesalers, and HORECA accounts.
- Visit markets regularly to analyze products, monitor market trends, assess competitor pricing, and track customer preferences.
3. Store & Staff Administration
- Recruit, train, and supervise storekeepers, cashiers, salesmen, loaders, and support staff.
- Implement SOPs in stores for stock control, cash handling, and daily reporting.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations with clear accountability systems.
4. Import & Logistics Coordination
- Work closely with customs officers, clearing agents, and trucking operators to ensure timely and cost-effective imports.
- Supervise inbound logistics and coordinate with the sales company for efficient stock movement.
- Monitor and optimize transportation costs, customs clearance, and documentation.
5. Banking & Financial Operations
- Oversee banking transactions including deposits, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
- Ensure daily sales are properly deposited and accounted for.
- Support with reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow management.
6. Business Continuity (Backup to Existing GM)
- Be prepared to assume full responsibility for current GM functions during breaks, absences, or transitions.
- Contribute to building systems and processes that reduce dependence on single individuals.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 8+ years in FMCG, retail distribution, or logistics operations, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of market dynamics (both formal & informal sectors), import operations, and retail/HORECA distribution.

- Store rollout and multi-site management
- Sales leadership and P&L management
- Customs, logistics, and banking operations
- Staff training and accountability systems
- Language: French and English required; Lingala preferred.
- Personality: Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and disciplined; able to manage both frontline operations and strategic decisions.
