Marketing Manager

Location: Northern Virginia (In-Person + Travel Required)

Job Type: Full-Time

Base Salary: $50,000–$60,000 + Performance Bonus

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing initiatives across a fast-growing sports organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment and can balance content creation, digital marketing, and event promotion.

Because our business operates when athletes are training and competing, this role requires someone who can manage a flexible schedule—balancing administrative work with on-site content capture during evenings and weekends, and traveling as needed to support events and programs.

You will play a key role in driving program enrollment, brand growth, and community engagement across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Social Media

  • Manage and grow social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube)
  • Plan, create, and publish engaging content (video, graphics, stories)
  • Track performance (engagement, conversions, growth) and optimize campaigns
  • Execute email and digital campaigns to drive registrations and sales

Content Creation (High Priority)

  • Capture on-site content (training sessions, games, events)
  • Edit short-form video (Reels, TikTok-style content)
  • Coordinate with designers and photographers when needed
  • Maintain a consistent, high-quality brand presence

Event & Community Marketing

  • Promote tournaments, showcases, camps, and training programs
  • Attend and support events (content capture + brand presence)
  • Engage directly with athletes, parents, and partners

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Partner with coaches and program directors to align messaging
  • Manage marketing calendar and campaign timelines
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and at a high standard

Work Schedule & Expectations

  • Ability to manage a flexible schedule, balancing administrative work (in-office or remote) with consistent on-site presence
  • Regular evening and weekend availability required for events, training sessions, and content capture
  • Proactively plan workload to ensure both content execution and administrative responsibilities are completed at a high level

Key Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of marketing experience (digital + content focused)
  • Strong social media and content creation skills (especially video)
  • Experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar
  • Ability to managee
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed

Preferred:

  • Experience in sports, fitness, or youth athletics
  • Knowledge of baseball/softball culture
  • Photography and videography experience
  • Experience driving measurable results (leads, sales, registrations)
