Position Overview

Memphis Pool Supply is seeking a strategic, hands-on Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts across digital and traditional channels while managing and developing a creative team. This role is responsible for driving brand growth, customer acquisition, and revenue through modern marketing strategies, high-quality content, and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate is both a leader and a doer—someone who can build campaigns, guide creative direction, and manage a team that produces compelling, on-brand marketing across all platforms.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company growth goals
  • Plan and manage multi-channel campaigns including digital, local, and in-store initiatives
  • Own the marketing calendar, including seasonal campaigns (pool openings, peak summer, winterization)
  • Allocate and manage budgets across channels to maximize ROI

Creative Team Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and mentor an internal and/or external creative team (designers, content creators, videographers, etc.)
  • Set clear creative direction and ensure all content aligns with brand standards and business objectives
  • Oversee the production of marketing assets including graphics, video, copy, and promotional materials
  • Review and approve creative work, ensuring quality, consistency, and performance focus
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team

Digital Marketing & Online Growth

  • Oversee all digital marketing channels, including:
  • Social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Paid advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads, retargeting campaigns)
  • Email marketing and automation
  • Website performance, SEO, and conversion optimization
  • Analyze campaign performance and optimize based on data (traffic, conversions, ROAS, engagement)
  • Manage online presence, including Google Business Profile and customer reviews

Content & Brand Development

  • Direct the creation of engaging, high-performing content such as:
  • Social media posts, reels, and video campaigns
  • Educational content (pool care tips, maintenance guides)
  • Promotional campaigns and seasonal messaging
  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital and physical touchpoints
  • Develop storytelling strategies that connect with both new and existing customers

Advertising & Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute integrated advertising campaigns across digital and traditional media
  • Manage paid media budgets and optimize for performance
  • Coordinate promotions, product launches, and sales initiatives
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners for co-marketing opportunities

Traditional & Local Marketing

  • Oversee local marketing efforts, including:
  • Print, radio, and outdoor advertising
  • Community sponsorships and events
  • In-store signage and merchandising
  • Strengthen local brand presence and community engagement

Customer Engagement & Retention

  • Develop and implement customer retention and loyalty strategies
  • Manage email and SMS communication strategies
  • Utilize CRM tools to segment audiences and personalize campaigns

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, operations, and leadership teams to align marketing with business objectives
  • Provide insights and reporting on marketing performance and opportunities
  • Stay current on marketing trends, tools, and industry best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 4–8+ years of marketing experience, with leadership or team management experience preferred
  • Proven experience managing creative teams or external agencies
  • Strong background in digital marketing (paid ads, social, email, SEO, analytics)
  • Experience with content strategy and brand development
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or home services industries
  • Hands-on experience with creative tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, video editing platforms)
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms
  • Understanding of local market dynamics in the Mid-South region
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to execute quickly and adapt
