Together, we provide complete laboratory solutions—including calibration, equipment repair, new and pre-owned equipment sales, preventative maintenance, and dry ice production—to clients across biotech, pharma, healthcare, and research institutions. We are seeking a Marketing Manager who is highly creative, proactive, and full of fresh ideas to drive strategy, campaigns, and events that strengthen our brand presence and support business growth.
Position Overview
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for both Scientific Calibration and Sci-Ice to grow and expand the brands. This role blends creativity with analytical thinking, overseeing multi-channel campaigns, event planning, and content development.
The position is highly collaborative, working closely with sales, service, and leadership teams to build brand awareness, generate leads, and engage customers. Most importantly, the successful candidate must be someone who is innovative, independent, and eager to bring ideas to the table. This position requires someone who will take initiative, exercise creative control, and not just execute tasks but also proactively shape new strategies and approaches. Over time, this role may evolve to include growing and leading a marketing team, making leadership potential and forward thinking essential.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Campaigns
- Develop and manage marketing strategies for Scientific Calibration and Sci-Ice.
- Execute digital and traditional campaigns, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, collateral, and customer communications.
- Proactively bring new ideas and innovative strategies to elevate brand visibility and impact.
Content Creation & Communication
- Create engaging content (graphics, photo, video, copy) for social media, websites, newsletters, blogs, and products.
- Design and produce marketing collateral, advertising copy, and digital assets.
- Optimize content for visibility, lead generation, and customer engagement.
- Take creative control of projects and independently drive them from concept through execution
Events & Engagement
- Plan and manage company events, including an annual customer appreciation event, industry conferences, and trade shows.
- Oversee event logistics, collateral, vendor coordination, and follow-up campaigns.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives such as holiday celebrations and recognition programs.
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Must be able to support and run Shopify.
- Manage Shopify website updates, online inventory, price sheets, online promotions, and digital advertising campaigns.
- Track KPIs such as social engagement, email performance, and campaign engagement.
- Collaborate with external vendors on paid campaigns and creative design.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales managers, service teams, and leadership to align marketing with business priorities.
- Support brand launches, customer programs, and special projects.
- Lead creative projects, including vehicle wraps, signage, and branded merchandise.
- Work independently and proactively contribute ideas that move the business forward.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of marketing experience
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools (Mailchimp, Meta Business, Google Business, Google Ads).
- Experience with Shopify
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to generate and pitch creative ideas with initiative.
- Creative eye for brand alignment and design.
- Proficiency in Canva. Knowledge of Adobe Design Software is a plus.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience in Photoshop and Illustrator
- Must work on-site in Cary, NC.

- Full-time role
- Work hours – Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. One-hour lunch break.
