The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the agency’s internal and external communications strategy. This individual bridges strategic planning and day-to-day execution—overseeing the creation of high-quality content, working with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all communications reflect the agency’s voice, culture, and reputation.
This position requires strong writing, leadership, and project management skills, as well as a keen understanding of the advertising industry, PR, brand positioning, and storytelling across channels. The Marketing Manager is a proactive communicator who can think strategically, collaborate cross-functionally, and lead the agency’s messaging with clarity and consistency.

Translate agency goals and leadership priorities into actionable communication strategies and integrated content plans.

Collaborate with department heads (creative, account management, HR, new business) to align communications with agency initiatives, culture, and brand objectives.

Ensure that all internal and external communications reflect a unified and consistent voice across digital, PR, and social channels.

Recommend new communications approaches, tools, and formats that enhance reach and engagement.

Supervise and mentor contributing writers and content producers, providing coaching, editorial guidance, and strategic support.

Review and approve content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and tone alignment with agency standards.

Manage workloads, deadlines, and prioritization across multiple communication streams.

Foster a collaborative, high-performing environment that values creativity and accountability.

Support agency leadership in developing and amplifying thought leadership initiatives, including executive communications, speaking opportunities, and bylined articles.

Identify emerging topics, cultural trends, and industry conversations where the agency can contribute or lead.

Partner with PR or external partners to secure media opportunities that reinforce the agency’s positioning and credibility and track and assess media and public perception to inform proactive communication strategies.

Manage and submit industry awards entries on behalf of the agency and clients, crafting customized responses for success.

Develop frameworks for consistent internal messaging that strengthen transparency, engagement, and cultural alignment.

Lead communication planning for agency-wide meetings, employee campaigns, and milestone announcements.

Partner with HR to ensure communications reflect and support inclusion, community, and recognition initiatives.

Create feedback loops to assess employee understanding and sentiment regarding agency updates or initiatives.

Oversee content calendars and ensure alignment between digital, PR, and social media activities.

Partner with creative teams to produce visually compelling and brand-aligned assets for communications and marketing use.

Lead cross-functional projects such as website refreshes, video storytelling, and marketing collateral updates.

Use data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of content and communication initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.

Serve as a communications advisor to senior leaders, helping refine key messages and presentation materials.

Support the preparation of executive remarks, leadership emails, and strategic updates.

Ensure leadership communications reinforce agency values, business direction, and tone consistency.

Aid agency new business efforts by assisting in strategy development and ensuring the agency brand and story are accurately represented in pitch materials.

Craft and edit presentation decks for RFIs, RFPs, and presentations.
- Maintain New Business tools, including status reports and subscription services, so they can be accurate team resources.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

5+ years of relevant, hands-on experience in marketing, advertising, or communications, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management capacity, preferably within an advertising, PR, or creative agency.

Proven ability to manage complex communication projects from concept to completion.

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across a variety of formats and audiences.

Experience developing and implementing integrated communications plans.

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire junior team members.

Familiarity with social media management, analytics platforms, and content planning tools.
