Part-Time Marketing Specialist: Delano Community Education
Under the direction of the Director of Community Education, the Marketing Specialist provides marketing and design support for all Delano Community Education programs. This position focuses on creating promotional materials, growing social media platforms and reach, and supporting print and digital platforms.
This role is ideal for an early-career marketing or graphic design professional who is creative, organized, and eager to grow. The position works collaboratively with Community Education leadership and program coordinators to help promote offerings within the community.
Responsibilities:
Marketing & Promotional Support

Create promotional materials for Delano Community Education programs

Seasonal brochure design and layout

Work closely with leadership to create marketing plans and initiatives

Identify basic cross-promotion opportunities between programs
Design & Content Creation

Create print and digital marketing materials using CANVA
-
Design flyers, social media graphics, and other promotional pieces

Ensure district branding standards are consistently applied

Edit and update existing marketing materials as needed
Social Media

Increase social media reach and presence for Community Education programs

Capture photos/videos of programs and events for promotional use

Assist in maintaining an engaging and consistent online presence
Website & Distribution

Update Delano Community Education website content as directed

Utilize promotion distribution platforms as directed
Collaboration & Organization

Work with program coordinators to gather promotional information

Manage multiple projects simultaneously

Communicate proactively regarding timelines and needed materials
Required Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma; Bachelor's or Associate's degree in graphic design, marketing, or related field preferred

1-3 of experience in marketing or graphic design

Proficiency in CANVA

High level of technology proficiency to create, organize, and collaborate within

Experience using social media platforms for promotion

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Strong written communication skills
Preferred:

Experience in community education or educational programs

Familiarity with website editing platforms

Position reports to: Director of Community Education
Salary Information: $22.20-22.97
Days/Year: approx. 20 hours per week, 215 days per year. Daily times can be flexible as approved by the Director in accordance with program needs. Some evenings and weekends may be required for special events.
This position is anticipated to start July 1st but will have training time available in June as agreed upon.
