Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Marketing Specialist!

About the Role

Join a collaborative and fast-moving marketing team at Symetra, where your work will directly support the promotion, sale and servicing of our product lines. In this role, you’ll partner with various teams including our product and sales teams to develop clear, engaging marketing materials that drive understanding and adoption. In this role, you’ll be responsible for writing, editing and managing projects through review cycles with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, accuracy and timely delivery. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across teams, thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in producing high-quality, customer-focused content.

What you will do

Develop clearly written and compelling marketing materials, emails, web pages and social media posts to support the sale of Symetra products.
Work with our compliance, legal and corporate marketing teams to ensure materials uphold compliance and brand standards.
Maintain and update existing materials and ensure they are current in all necessary locations.
Gain an in-depth understanding of the Symetra products we sell—with a focus on group life, disability, absence management and state leave programs such as Paid Family and Medical Leave—and the distribution partners through which we distribute them.

Compensation

Salary Range: $64,200 – $106,900 plus eligibility for annual bonus programs

Who you are

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, communications or related field preferred.
Financial services industry highly preferred. 2-5 years of cumulative, relevant experience.
Proficient in Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint) excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-directed in multitasking and prioritizing with a strong attention to detail.
Experience writing email and web-based content is preferred, background writing social media content a plus.
High school diploma required.
