Job Summary
Huntsman Cancer Foundation seeks a dynamic, self-motivated, enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Communications Specialist-Social Media and Micro Content. Under the direction of the Director of Communications, the individual hired for this role will assist with a wide range of marketing/communications initiatives and contribute to the creation of dynamic supporting collateral in a variety of content forms, including website, social media, video, etc.
This position will play a key role in planning, creating, scheduling, and monitoring content for HCF’s website and social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms as needed. The communications specialist will work to maintain a consistent voice and brand across platforms, recognizing the unique nature of various audiences and the need for style and tone differences. This individual will track engagement analytics and adjust strategies based on performance and current trends
Currently, Huntsman Cancer Foundation has a hybrid work policy. This is subject to change.

Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree English, Journalism, Communications, or related field plus 3 years of related experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills; familiarity with a variety of computer software; project management and strong interpersonal skills; ability to work both individually and in a team setting.
Some areas may require additional experience with specific computer systems and may require skills in interviewing, ad copy writing, editing, photography, web writing, graphic design, audio & video production, and oral presentation.
Master’s degree in a related field may be preferred.

Nearly Continuously: Office environment. May require the ability to sit, stand, and walk around for extended periods of time.
Huntsman Cancer Foundation has a hybrid work policy. Based on outside meetings and other work requirements, employees are asked to be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the option to work remotely on Monday and Friday. This is subject to change.
Some local/regional travel may be required for larger marketing projects, such as video productions.
