Materials Management Superintendent

We are seeking candidates for the position of ‘Materials Management Superintendent’ for our business partner operating in the mining sector, for whom we provide consulting services.

Position Summary:

The Materials Management Superintendent oversees all materials planning, receiving, storage, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective support for project operations. This role provides leadership to the logistics and inventory teams, ensuring compliance with company standards and maintaining safe and efficient yard operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise all materials management functions, including warehousing, inventory control, and material issuance.

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and site logistics.

• Develop and implement material handling procedures, stock control systems, and KPI monitoring.

• Oversee the performance of yard and warehouse teams in Hopa and site locations.

• Ensure full traceability of materials through ERP or manual systems.

• Manage storage capacity, layout, and segregation of materials by category and risk.

• Prepare material status reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.

• Enforce safety, security, and environmental compliance across all materials operations.

• Support audits, inspections, and monthly reconciliation processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in materials management, preferably in mining or large-scale construction.

• Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite.

• Fluent in English and Turkish.
