Materials Procurement Manager

Company Description

We are seeking a Procurement Manager with a proven track record in interior contracting and fit-out procurement , to join our Dubai-based consultancy. You will be responsible for strategically sourcing and managing materials across hospitality, commercial, and residential projects.

This role demands deep product knowledge , strong supplier networks, and the ability to deliver cost-effective, timely, and quality procurement solutions across multiple ongoing contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for interior fit-out and architectural materials, including:
• Coordinate RFQs, tendering, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management with our commercial department.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors locally and internationally.
• Collaborate with design, project management, and commercial teams of client projects to ensure procurement aligns with specifications, budgets, and timelines.
• Oversee material submittals, approvals, lead times, and delivery schedules to meet project requirements.
• Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives without compromising quality or design standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, client standards, sustainability criteria, and quality requirements .
• Provide regular reporting and insights on procurement strategy, market trends, and supplier performance to senior management and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in procurement for interior contractors or fit-out projects , preferably in Dubai or the GCC region.
• Proven expertise in sourcing civil finishing materials
• Strong technical knowledge of drawings, specifications, BOQs, and material submittals .
• Established supplier networks and market knowledge in the UAE and internationally.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and multitasking skills .
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Supply Chain, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and MS Office .
• Fluent in English ; Arabic or other European languages is a plus.
• Based in Dubai and fully familiar with the UAE interior fit-out market.
