Mechanical Design Engineer

Position: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Brighton, MI

This is a full time, in office role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop mechanical designs supporting new product development and customer requirements.
• Focus on mechanical system design related to electromechanical components in industrial applications.
• Evaluate manufacturing technologies and mechanical structures for industrial automation products.
• Deliver detailed mechanical designs and engineering documentation to internal teams and customers.
• Prepare samples and coordinate reliability testing and mechanical evaluation.
• Support production line setup, troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical issues during manufacturing.
• Work closely with cross functional teams including electrical engineering, project management and manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design in electromechanical components preferred.
• Experience with mechanical components used in industrial automation.
• Proficiency with 3D and 2D design tools such as Pro/E, CATIA or AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
