Job Responsibilities:

Planned, supervised, and executed repair and maintenance of marine and industrial mechanical systems.

Carried out overhauling of main engines, auxiliary engines, turbochargers, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, and hydraulic equipment.

Conducted troubleshooting and root cause analysis for machinery breakdowns and proposed effective solutions.

Prepared method statements, job safety assessments, and work schedules for onboard and workshop jobs.

Performed shaft alignment, coupling fitment, and precision measurements using dial gauges, micrometers, and laser alignment tools.

Supervised propeller, rudder, and steering gear overhauls during vessel drydocking.

Monitored fabrication, welding, and machining jobs for repair and refurbishment of mechanical parts.

Coordinated with ship superintendents, clients, and classification society surveyors (ABS, LR, DNV, BV, etc.) during inspections, tests, and trials.

Ensured compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and promoted safe working practices.

Prepared detailed job reports, condition assessment reports, and maintenance records in line with ISO and company procedures.

Supported spare parts identification, material requisition, and workshop mobilization for timely job execution.

Led teams of mechanics and technicians, providing technical guidance and training for effective job completion.
