Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Elsewedy Engineering Industries . The ideal candidate will have solid experience in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and power transmission components . You will ensure equipment reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance, perform root cause analysis for mechanical failures, and apply best practices to improve machine performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of all mechanical systems and equipment in the facility.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Support root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations and other engineering disciplines to enhance equipment efficiency and lifespan.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission components.
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.).
• Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
• Skilled in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment tools).
• Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices (OSHA, LOTO, confined space entry).
