Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Roles & Responsibilities

1️ Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

• Perform routine preventive maintenance of machines and equipment as per maintenance schedule
• Attend machine breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Minimize downtime by quick diagnosis and corrective actions
• Replace worn-out or damaged parts (bearings, belts, seals, gears, etc.)

2️ Installation & Commissioning

• Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery
• Align machines and equipment properly as per standards
• Support trial runs and ensure smooth operation

3️ Equipment Inspection & Monitoring

• Conduct regular inspection of motors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Monitor vibration, noise, temperature, and performance parameters
• Report abnormal conditions to senior engineers

4️ Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily maintenance logs and records
• Update breakdown reports and maintenance checklists
• Follow ISO/SOP documentation procedures

5️ Spare Parts & Inventory

• Identify required spare parts and raise indent requests
• Maintain proper storage and tracking of maintenance materials
• Assist in stock verification of spare parts

6️ Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety guidelines and PPE requirements
• Ensure safe handling of tools and equipment
• Comply with company policies and statutory regulations

7️ Continuous Improvement

• Suggest improvements to reduce breakdown frequency
• Support TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for repeated failures

Required Skills

• 2-4 year of exp with Diplom in mechanical/Diploma in mechtronics
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
• Understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Basic welding/fabrication knowledge (added advantage)
• Good troubleshooting skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
