Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Summary

The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all mechanical works in construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems. The role ensures that all mechanical installations comply with project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards, while maintaining schedule, quality, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, design drawings, and BOQs to identify project scope and requirements.
• Prepare technical submittals, material approvals, and shop drawings for consultant review and approval.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and other engineering disciplines (Electrical, Civil, Architectural) for site execution.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting).
• Ensure compliance with project safety standards and local authority regulations (e.g., DCD, DEWA, etc.).
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, manpower plans, and progress reports.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project milestones.
• Participate in value engineering and design coordination meetings.
• Verify and certify subcontractor bills and variations.
• Support the Project Manager in preparing project documentation, handover files, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in MEP contracting or construction projects (preferably in UAE/GCC).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting design and installation practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project/Primavera).
• Familiar with local authority standards and approval procedures.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
